A superb example of the vertical panorama used to describe the minaret perfectly. Not only is the architectural detail crisp, but the soaring height of the structure is emphasised as it thrusts upwards above the street level, to be sharply defined against the sky. Girault de Prangey used the vertical panorama to great effect in the narrow streets of old Cairo. It seems that he made approximately thirty similar studies of minarets, but rarely more than one of each example.

Only one other, non-panoramic, detail from this mosque exists in the archive.
