Lot Essay
Béni-Haçan (also Bani Hasan) is situated between Cairo and Luxor, on the eastern bank of the Nile. It is an Egyptian Middle Kingdom archaeological site, noted for its 39 rock-cut tombs of the 11th- and 12th-dynasty officials of the 16th Upper Egyptian province. This photograph shows the entrance to one of the tombs.
