Comprising: A Martini-Henry .450 service rifle, No. 1299 dated 1878, a small Zulu ceremonial shield, a socket bayonet with locking ring, the autograph of Lt. J.Chard (taken from a letter) on a mounted reproduction photograph of this officer, a letter dated 1882 bearing the signature of Evelyn Wood, and a fine example of the South Africa Campaign medal, bar:1879, awarded to Pte. T. Rhind, 17th D.C.O. Lancers, who is believed to have taken part in the cavalry charge at the battle of Ulundi
