Lot Essay
The three-masted wooden schooner Noah was owned and built by Z.T. Jacobsen at Troense, Denmark, in 1902. Registered in Svendborg at 195 tons gross (170 net), she measured 107 feet in length with a 26 foot beam and enjoyed a career lasting almost fifty years. Fitted with an auxiliary oil engine in the early 1930s but maintaining her schooner rig, she survived the Second World War only to disappear from record, presumably scrapped, soon after 1946.
