Lot Essay

The three-masted wooden barque Carl Haasted was built by C.J. Haasted at Aalesund (Norway) in 1877. Registered in Tvedestrnd at 917 tons gross (880 net), she measured 183 feet in length with a 35½ foot beam and was owned latterly by J.P. Pedersen.
