A 15':1" SCALE WATERLINE MODEL OF THE THAMES TUG SIMLA (1898)
modelled by R. Walpole with details including masts, rigging, anchor davit and winch, covered hatch, bitts, companionways, open brideg wit rails, port and starboard lamps, helm, binnacle, two lifeboats in davits with bottom boards, thwarts and oars, stayed funnel with saftey valve extension pipes, ventilators, towing gear, engine room lights, coal shute covers, rope coils and other details. The hull with open gunwale ports and tyres is finished in black and white and set on a moulded and pinted riverscape with in wood bound glazed case with legend and knotted bun feet, overall measurments -- 6 x 11¼in. (15 x 28.5cm.)
