A FINE EARLY 19TH CENTURY FRENCH NAPOLEONIC PROSONER-OF-WAR BONE AND HORN MODEL OF A 84-GUN ROYAL NAVY SHIP-OF-THE-LINE
with details including bound masts, yards with stun's'l booms, standng and running rigging with blocks, detailed warrior-form figurehead with plumed helmet and gladus, boomkins, head rails, catheads, bone anchors with floats, head rail, belaying rails, stove pipes, belfry with bone bell, two long boats slung in rigging, ballustraded well deck, hammock racks, companionways, saloon lights, twenty deck guns in stepped bone carriages, stern boat in davits and other details. The planked hull with baleen main wale and ebony second wale, finely carved and glazed stern and quarter galleries and transom and rudder, is mounted with two bone 'V' chocks to period-style parquetry inlaid display board. Overall measurements -- 19 x 24in. (48 x 61cm.)
