A Wedgwood majolica cheese-bell
Date letter for 1876, impressed marks
The dark-blue ground bell of cylindrical form, with branch finial, moulded with a band of acorn leaves and fruit beneath a yellow ground similarly moulded band, the top of the bell and the stand mottled in turquoise, blue and brown within a band of acorn leaves (the bell with stained glaze crazing to the interior, the stand restored and cracked)
