A Minton majolica blowfish teapot and cover
Year cypher for 1878, impressed marks, moulded registration lozenge
The finial moulded as a fin, the fish of slightly oval form, his open mouth forming the spout, the handle modelled in the form of a branch of seaweed with a snail as the thumbpiece, the shaped oval base moulded with scrolling reeds (spout reduced, cover with chip to rim and to finial, inner rim broken and restuck with a small section lacking, slight crack from base)
