A RARE 12 LITRE BOTTLE OF BARBERA FROM THE ESTATE OF GIACOMO BOLOGNA-BRAIDA
This superb large format is directly from the private cellars of 'Braida'.
It is an old established tradition in Italy to produce wines in these large sizes enabling them to develop and improve over a much longer period than for standard-sized bottles and they are often 'laid down' to mark birth or anniversary years. The cru of 'Bricco dell'Uccellone'is an excellent contender for such lengthy maturation being aged for 15 months in oak barriques and exhibiting a rich and seductive range of aromas from black cherries and raspberries leading to a powerful and intense palate packed with ripe fruit and soft tannins.
