A group of eight 19th century desk seals,
including: one with double ended matrix, the gold mount modelled as a gauntlet holding the seal, with chased and engraved decoration, the banded agate matrix carved with the legend Bold East, the bloodstone handle with matrix terminal carved with lion crest, in fitted case; another double ended matrix with chalcedony tapering handle to a gold cased seal, the pale green hardstone matrix carved with pedestal sundial with rising sun, the opposite seal with chalcedony matrix carved as a seated cat, in fitted case; another with carved bog oak handle and harp motif, with gold cased seal and yellow-foiled rock crystal plain matrix; and a textured, gilt-mounted seal wheel with agate handle and multiple paste matrices of sentimental messages and motifs.
