Lot Essay

Founded in 1815 in the watch making center of Le Locle, Switzerland, Paul Buhre SA became known in the 20th century as a firm dedicated to unusual case designs and useful complications. The present lot was produced for the Russian market and is unusual as all of the factory signatures and engravings on the case, dial and movement are written in Cyrillic.
