Strong clean red, very small sign of maurity towards the rim. Extremely pronounced toasted currant and dark fruit aroma, yet refined and accessible; great after time. Luscious, long and fleshy; amazingly balanced, very spicy, nice even tannin; long and rich on the finish. Tasted along with the other 1990 super seconds and together with Pichon, Baron was wine of the night. Still evolving, has at least 10 - 25 years life ahead. Mar 1999 DW
