Slightly tapering étui-à-cire of quatrefoil section, both sides of cover and base and the domed cap engraved with a vertical fishbone pattern and enamelled en basse-taille with flowersprays in translucent blue, the two narrow sides enamelled in translucent green with a guilloché pattern on a vertically reeded ground, framed by an opaque white enamelled border, the raised borders engraved with reeding, blank matrix
