Oval box, the panels on cover, sides and base engine-turned with horizontal reeding scattered with pellets and stars and enamelled in translucent dark blue, the panels on cover and base bordered by fluted ribbon-twist bands enclosing rosettes and sections of stylized acanthus, the four side dividers chased in four-colour gold with flower urns on a matted ground, the silver-mounted jewelled floral thumbpiece set with a table-cut foiled sapphire and other sapphires and rose-cut diamonds
