A GERMAN ENAMEL AND GOLD SNUFF-BOX
attributed to Carl Martin Weishaupt's Sons, with the Hanau town mark, circa 1850/1860, with a 14-carat gold mark and engraved with inventory number '701.'
Cartouche-shaped box, the lid inset with a cartouche-shaped enamel plaque finely painted with a Rococo blind man's buff scene on a castle terrace, within a Rococo-style cartouche frame, on a blue and white enamelled latticework ground framed by engraved scrolls and Rocaille, the wavy baluster sides and base similarly engraved and enamelled in blue and white with foliate scrolls and flowers
