Geneva, circa 1820/1830, rubbed marks, the enamel miniature circle of Jean-Louis Richter
Rectangular box with rounded corners, the cover inset with a convex enamel miniature finely painted with a view of Servoz valley with snowy mountains in the background, inscribed 'Servoze', within a narrow gold mount cast with stylized acanthus, on a matted gold border set with a garland of trailing husks, leaves and flowerheads in four-colour gold, the sides and base engine-turned with a latticework pattern, the base centred by an oval reserve chased with a flowerspray in four-colour gold on a sablé ground, and framed by a husk border on a matted band, the four corners of the sides cast with flowers on matted rectangles, bright-cut gold rims
