Rectangular box, the slightly raised matted gold cover stamped with foliate scrolls radiating from a floral central rosette set with turquoise cabochons, further turquoises in the corners and sides, within stylized acanthus border, the sides and base with wavy engine-turning forming an ozier pattern, the inside of the lid painted with an enamel of a riverside landscape with the Mount Blanc in the background titled 'S.t Martin', the hinged foliate pierced grille decorated with scrolls, the base containing the musical movement released by a lever at the left hand side; with associated key
