THREE SOUTH ITALIAN POTTERY VESSELS
Circa Mid 4th Century B.C.
Including a Gnathian-ware cup-skyphos, one side with a band of egg and a band of red and yellow fillets above yellow dots and yellow and white grape vines with a red central stripe, the other side with a band of egg above dots, with a dot rosette at the center; a red-figured guttus, with a protruding lion head spout, a perforated filter at the center, painted with two ducks, volutes on either side of the ring handle; and a red-figured kylix, the tondo with the bust of a young satyr in profile to the left, with a fillet in his wavy hair, framed by a band of ivy, the stems incised, the exterior with a profile female head on one side, a profile satyr head on the other, palmettes below and on either side of the handles
