THREE APULIAN RED-FIGURED EPICHYSEIS
Circa Mid 4th Century B.C.
Including two with pear-shaped bodies, each with a winged nude Eros seated in profile to the left, his hair in a sakkos, beaded bandoliers across his body, wearing boots, armlets and anklets, a phiale in his raised right hand, a grape cluster in his lowered left hand on one vessel, a wreath in his left hand on the other vessel; and one with a squat body, with a draped female offering-bearer seated in profile to the left, her hair pulled back in a sakkos, a cista in her raised right hand, a grape cluster in her lowered left hand; all three vessels with a palmette below the handle, volutes on either side of the handle, with molded lion's heads where the handles join the rim
