Contemporary blue morocco by Voll, Mannheim, panelled in gilt and blind, gilt spine directly lettered, gilt turn-ins, gilt edges (extremities lightly rubbed, corners slightly bumped). Provenance: Earls of Suffolk and Berkshire (bookplate).
FIRST EDITION of these beautifully-coloured Alpine views in an attractive morocco binding. A smaller edition was published the same year in quarto. The author of the descriptive text is unknown. Brunet V, 1379; Lonchamp 1858; Mandach 473.
