Inlaid overall with a trellis pattern, the three-quarter galleried oval top above a shallow frieze with a drawer fitted with a leather-lined writing slide and a writing well, on stop-fluted bar supports resting on a galleried kidney-shaped undertier and slender cabriole legs ending in lion's paw sabots, with possibly false stamp 'M. CARLIN' and 'JME', partially remounted, the veneers relaid
