Title with large woodcut vignette of stars and a dog below a branch of a plam tree crossed with a lily, with the blanks N7 & N8 and the final blank. (Few light spots.) Contemporary vellum, manuscript title on spine and front cover, preserved in a later slipcase (lacking ties, lightly soiled, a few stains). Adams only lists the later editions of 1584 and 1596. BM STC Italian only lists the later edition of 1596.
