Translated from Ducray-Duminil's original French title Lolotte et Fanfan (Paris, 1788) by Lucy Peacock "with alterations, adapting it to the perusal of youth, for whose amusement and instruction it is designed", it tells the tale of two children stranded on a Caribbean island, much influenced by Daniel Defoe's Robinson Crusoe. Only two copies recorded in England, at the British Library and Cambridge University Library and no copy recorded at auction. ESTC T96711.
