This scene has been taken from an engraving by S. A. Bolswert after a painting of St. Ignatius of Loyola and St. Francis Xavier by Rubens. This service may have been ordered to commemorate the bi-centenary of the establishment of the Order of the Company of Jesus, of which St. Ignatius was the founder member.
