A LARGE ACOMA POLYCHROME JAR
with slightly concave base, high rounded shoulder and tapering neck, finely painted in black, orange, and gray on a creamy white slip, with a series of four parrots, each perched on flowering branch, underneath an undulating band of geometrical motifs, surmounted by a frieze of confronting heart-line deer, floral sprigs of alternating design between them, a stepped meander design on the shoulder, signed on the base, V. G. Estevan, Acoma, New Mex.
