Round, chiselled in yo-sukashi with cherry blossom, signed Nagato no kuni Hagi no ju Itoga Han'emon Tomohisa saku [made by Itoga Han'emon Tomohisa of Hagi in Nagato province], late 18th century, 3 1/8in. (8cm.) (rubbed); broad oval, sparsely inlaid in low relief with plum blossom, gilt details, late Higo work, 3 1/16in. (7.8cm.); round, bamboo and foliage in yo-sukashi with a snail, the rim formed as bamboo, signed Hizen no kuni no ju Masakuni saku [made by Masakuni of Hizen province], 2¾in. (7cm.); oval, three stylised geese in yo-sukashi, 2 13/16in. (7.2cm.); and a round tsuba, bamboo with swallows in yo-sukashi, signed Echizen no ju Kinai saku [made by Kinai of Echizen], 3in. (7.6cm.)
