With bowed sides and rounded corners, a short neck and four integral legs, the body and neck with intricate cloisonné enamel floral motifs worked in silver wire on a silver base, each side set with a lobed shibuichi panel decorated in takazogan of gold, silver and copper with respectively plum (winter), cherry (spring), peony (summer) and chrysanthemum (autumn), the lid with similar enamel decoration to the body, with an interior silver container
