Most 1982 Penfolds red show a particular vintage character: a quite distinctive richness and fleshiness of fruit. Max Schubert considered it "a very good wine".
Tasting note: deep crimson. Christmas cake/baked plum aromas with some contrived fruit characters. The palate has plenty of sweet, contrived fruit flavours, marked tannins and good length. A.C.
