My highest mark at Seppelt's 20-vintage vertical 1955 to 1990. Deep, rich coloured; astonishing fruit; touch of eucalyptus; very sweet, full-bodied, glorious, mouth-filling, Pétrus-like richness. M.B.
Considered a rich, fruity Grange for relatively early drinking, a reflection of the 1989 vintage conditions.
Tasting note: deep crimson. Contrived shaded fruits/cherry/apricot aromas. The palate is sweet fruited and highly concentrated but has a quite harsh, bitter tannin backbone. A.C.
