A Rare Victorian Silver Watermen's Badge
Mark of Bent & Parker, Birmingham, 1865
the circular section badge with a central VR monogram, surrounded by a garter labelled Queen's Watermen and below a crown, later mounted to a cloth backing; TOGETHER WITH: a framed certificate from the Lord Chamberlain's Office for Mr. Frederick Charles Whatford, appointed a Waterman to His Majesty 1 March 1937, also with a Late Victorian Box with an R. & S. Garrard label with a handwritten inscription - the badge 14cm. (5½in.) high.
