The tea service with mark of John Samuel Hunt, London, 1861; the tray with mark of Nicholls & Plinke, St. Petersburg, 1862, with Imperial warrant
each piece of tapering form, engraved with a cypher, some further engraved with a coronet, the hinged lids with coronet form finials, comprising: a kettle-on-stand, a teapot, each with an ivory insulated handle, a covered sugar bowl, an open sugar bowl; a waste bowl a cream jug, a pair of sugar tongs, the en suite tray of plain rectangular form, fully marked - the kettle-on-stand 33cm. (13in.) high, the tray 37.3cm. (14 5/8in.) long, 126oz. (3925gr.) gross.
