The arms are those of Grenfell impaling St. Leger.
Charles Pascoe Grenfell was the second son of Pascoe Grenfell, D.C.L. (1761-1838) of Taplow House Buckinghamshire, MP for Marlow and later Penryhn, and his first wife Charlotte Granville. The elder Grenfell later married the Hon. Georgiana St. Leger, daughter of 1st Viscount Doneraille, following the death of Charlotte in 1790.
A soup tureen by John Parker, London, 1805, also engraved with an inscription relating to Charles Pascoe Grenfell was offered at Sotheby's London 7 November 1996, lot 123.
