A Buen Retiro white biscuit group emblematic of the Triumph of Peace
Circa 1805
Peace crowned with laurels and dressed in long classical robes, standing in a languid pose, with grapes, flowers and coins spilling out from the large cornucopia in her left hand, extinguishing a long torch held in her right hand, a naked prisoner kneeling beside her, his hands chained behind his back to a tree-stump, another flaming torch on the ground and the implements of War including a helmet, shield, swords, arrows, a bow and quiver nearby, on a circular mound base (large firing crack to base and Peace's feet, minute chipping to coins and grapes, small chipping to edge of base)
