During the period 1682-1733 an enourmous quantity of printed matter was published by van der Aa. The Galerie comprises 66 parts in 27 volumes. The above selection includes volumes 14-16 mostly French, Dutch and Belgium maps, according to Koeman: volume 48, map 1; vol. 13, 38 maps (lacking map 1); vol. 14, 48 maps (of 48); vol. 15, 29 maps (of 30, lacks map 21); vol. 16, 28 maps (of 32, lacks maps 12, 16, 21, 26).
