Title printed in red and black with woodcut portrait of Muenster on verso, 98 double-page woodcut maps and town-views, numerous woodcut illustration and maps in text (title and first and last leaves with marginal repairs affecting text, browning and staining throughout). Modern quarter morocco (dried).

Later edition, after the first edition of 1544. The work includes Muenster's "Typis Orbis Universalis," the map which replaced the earlier Ptolemaic world maps. Alden and Landis 628/84; Burmeister 86; Sabin 51396.
