Engraved allegorical general title, with full-page engraving of the arms of Spain on the verso, memorial to Ortelius, portrait of Ortelius, hand-colored engraved section-title to Parergon with architectural surround, 156 engraved mapsheets, including 38 in the Parergon, mounted on guards throughout, decorated woodcut initials (some browning throughout, title and first leaf repaired and with small library stamps, occasional light marginal chipping and splitting, dampstaining to some plates).
