3 volumes, 4o (262 x 190 mm). Title-page in vol. I printed in red and black. 103 etchings by Giampicoli, Bartolomeo Crivellari, Giuseppe Magnini, F. Rizzi and others after various artists. (Vol. I Eee4 with repaired tear crossing text, some light spotting.) Later calf antique, gilt-lettered and decorated on spines.
A very fine 18th-century edition of Dante's Divina commedia, called "the Venetian rococo book at its most colorful and characteristic" (Philip Hofer Bequest). Zatta printed Dante's complete works in 5 volumes; it was the first collected edition of all of Dante's works, and it was also the only illustrated edition of La divina commedia since the very early 17th century.
