A large pair of famille verte models of Buddhistic lions and stands
19th century
each with one paw variously resting upon a cub and pierced brocade ball, the heads slightly turned to left and right, the bodies well moulded in relief to simulate the manes and with tightly knotted curls to the heads, each wearing a ribbon collar with attached bells, the bases decorated with scattered flowers, panels of precious objects and prunus and cracked ice design -- 37in. (94cms) high overall, (eyes possibly restored, one stand with glaze discolouration to surface).
