A Chinese tortoiseshell three-tiered jewellery box and hinged cover
Circa 1900
the cover with a central rectangular panel carved in relief with two coiled dragons chasing the flaming pearl, with a shaped handle above its centre, flanked by two further panels carved with scrolling leaves, with applied yellow metal monogram below a coronet to one corner, the drawers with articulated pierced and carved foliate sides, the cover -- 8 7/8in. (22.5cm.) long, (split to cover).
