Circa 1728-30, blue enamel crossed swords mark, gilder's 43. and 50. to cover
Painted with figures on quaysides with ships at sail in wooded estuaries within lobed gilt Böttger-lustre cartouches flanked by indianische Blumen, the cover similarly decorated with merchants at discussion by barrels and packages within a Böttger-lustre and interlocking gilt C-scroll cartouche (box with small chip to inside rim)
