ENGLAND v. AUSTRALIA, 1926

Details
ENGLAND v. AUSTRALIA, 1926
Autograph bat, manufactured by Gunn & Moore, Nottingham, signed on the face by the England and Australian sides of 1926, also signed by Stanley and Lucy Baldwin, and inscribed: "In aid of restoration of Bewdley Tower (old watch), the birthplace of Stanley Baldwin Esq., Prime minister of England, first test match 1926, England v. Australia at Nottingham, Ashes regained 1926" (grip worn).

In 1926 England won the Ashes for the first time since 1912. Owing to the weather, the first Test at Nottingham had to be abandoned and the next three matches with H.L. Collins' team were drawn, but England triumphantly won the final match at the Oval.
