細節
ENGLAND v. AUSTRALIA, 1926
Vanguard bat, headed "4th Test Match, Manchester, 1926," signed by the England and Australian sides on face and back respectively, further inscribed "Heathfield, July 21, 1926" (some varnish removal on the back, lacking rubber grip) -- Autograph bat by James Cobbett, London, signed by the England side of 1938 and Rest XI (some wear).

The rain-affected Manchester Test took place on 24th, 26th and 27th July and resulted in a draw. Batting second, England were unable to complete their first innings. Woodfull and Macartney both contributed centuries to the Australian first innings total of 335, but the home side matched this with a total of 305 for 5, Hobbs, Tyldesley and Woolley all making half centuries; Mailey took 3 of the 5 wickets for Australia.
