A 19th-Century lacquered-brass Jones-type microscope,
signed on the foot R. Huntley 53. High Holborn, LONDON, in a fitted mahogany case -- 23.8cm. (9 3/8in.) wide

The barrel screws onto the end of a short limb, which slides in a sleeve atop a rectangular section pillar. This moves in sleeves against a similar pillar via rack and pinion. Mounted on the main pillar are the eared stage and plano-concave mirror. The case has some blue felt lining and two brass hooks and eyes (replacement fitted section). Accessories include: a brass-cased objective disc with six numbered beads; three lieberkuhn (one unsilvered); live box; tweezers; frog-plate; and other items.
