There is an objective numbered 3. The main limb is similarly marked with numbered lines for focal positions, and the eared stage is moved up and down by means of a tangent screw. There are stage-mounted forceps and a bull's-eye condensor, and a concave substage mirror. The main pillar is mounted via a compass joint to a large V-shaped foot.
