Three monocular microscopes by Ernst Leitz,
The first: a lacquered-brass compound monocular microscope signed on the foot E. Leitz Wetzlar No22805. The barrel has a graduated body-tube, a triple nosepiece, rack and pinion focusing and micrometer fine adjustment. There is a substage diaphragm and plano-concave mirror. The main column is raised on a U-shaped foot. The mahogany carrying case has one spare eyepiece, a brass carrying handle, and an ivorine plaque for FANNIN & CO 41, Grafton Street, DUBLIN.
AND another signed E. Leitz Wetzlar No124356. The barrel has a graduated body tube, a triple nosepiece, rack and pinion focusing and micrometer fine adjustment. It is held on a curved enamelled limb from the circular stage, with substage condensor, diaphragm and plano-concave mirror. The limb tilts on an upright from the Y-shaped foot;
AND another, signed E. Leitz Wetzlar No51977. The barrel has a graduated body-tube, rack and pinion focusing and micrometer fine adjustment. There is a plano-concave substage mirror and the instrument is raised on an enamelled and raised Y-shaped foot. (3)
