A SWORD OF ETHIOPIAN TYPE, AN ORIENTAL SHORT-SWORD, AND AN AFRICAN SWORD
The first with curved single-edged fullered blade etched on each face with running foliated scrollwork, and on one face with an Abyssinian inscription and a star of David, and on the other with a crown, one side of the forte stamped 'Z Stefanian Harar', ivory and dark horn hilt with spirally fluted grip bound with wire, and domed pommel-cap decorated with applied brass scrollwork, in silver-mounted leather scabbard; the second with leaf-shaped blade of flattened diamond section, shaped iron guard, cylindrical iron grip, and domed silver pommel engraved with an inscription; the third with single-edged sickle-shaped blade, each side cut with fullers set within brass-inlaid lines, one side with two maker's (?) marks, and dark horn grips extending to form a bifurcated pommel
