The first with curved single-edged blade with a single fuller along the back-edge on each side, the forte encased in a pierced and engraved brass sleeve, iron guard of characteristic form inlaid with chased silver and brass panels, and dark horn grip carved with scrollwork and with dragon's head pommel with brass eyes and teeth, in wooden scabbard covered with brass and silvered copper; the second plainer and in worn condition with pitting on the blade and guard
