A VICTORIAN OFFICER'S LEVÉE SWORD OF THE 15TH HUSSARS

With curved flat-sided blade, inscribed with maker's name and address, bearing a panel on both sides, etched with a crown within a sunburst and title 'King's Hussars', ornate gilt metal crosspiece cast with acanthus-leaf decoration, and ivory grips with decorative carving (rivets lacking rose finials), in its distinctive regimental gilt metal scabbard with large fishskin inserts
