A SCOTTISH BASKET-HILTED BROADSWORD, TWO FUNERARY (?) SWORDS, AND A SWORD-BLADE
The first second quarter of the 18th Century
The first with flat blade (point missing) with faint traces of an 'Andrea Ferara' inscription, the hilt of characteristic form composed of vertical bars and panels with heart-shaped piercings, and later staghorn grip (iron parts heavily rust-patinated); the second and third (both heavily rust-patinated and lacking their pommels) with narrow double-edged blades (both lacking their points), and short straight iron quillons; the fourth in excavated condition
